About The YOU Movement
Know yourself. Trust yourself. Lead yourself.
We learn so much about how to achieve, perform and succeed, yet very few of us are taught how to understand ourselves.
From a young age, we begin looking outside ourselves for direction. We adapt to expectations, compare ourselves to others and shape who we are around what appears to be valued, often before we have the language to recognise what is true for us.
Over time, we can lose touch with our emotions, our body and our sense of self. We may look as though we are coping while privately feeling unsure, overwhelmed or unable to explain why certain parts of life feel so difficult.
The YOU Movement was created to offer another way.
Through the connection between the mind, body and heart, people learn to understand how they think, recognise what they feel, notice what their body is communicating and become more connected to their individuality.
This work meets people at different stages of life. It supports children and young people who are beginning to discover who they are, educators and parents who are shaping young lives, organisations wanting to lead in a more human way, and individuals who want to understand and trust themselves more deeply.
Self-understanding influences how we respond to challenges, communicate, relate to others and make decisions. The more clearly we understand ourselves, the less we need to shape our lives around who we think we should be.
The YOU Movement helps people develop the awareness, language and self-trust to live and lead as themselves.
Self-leadership begins with self-understanding
Self-leadership is not about always feeling confident, having the right answer or managing every part of life perfectly.
It is the ability to notice what is happening within you and respond with awareness.
It means recognising when a thought is influencing the way you see yourself, understanding what an emotion may be communicating, listening when your body signals that something needs attention and making choices that reflect your values and needs.
These abilities are not fixed personality traits. They can be learned, practised and strengthened throughout life.
The YOU Movement turns self-awareness into something practical. People are not given another set of expectations to meet or told who they should become. They are given language, experiences and tools that help them understand themselves and decide what is true for them.
The Y.O.U Framework™
The Y.O.U Framework™ brings together three connected parts of our experience.
Your Mind
Your thoughts, beliefs, patterns, perceptions and the stories influencing how you see yourself and the world.
One Body
Your emotions, sensations, nervous system, energy and the signals your body uses to communicate with you.
Unique Heart
Your identity, values, strengths, relationships and the individual way you express and lead yourself.
The framework helps people explore these parts together rather than treating thoughts, emotions, physical responses and identity as separate issues.
It is designed to be understood across different ages and used in real situations, from the classroom and workplace to parenting, relationships and personal decision-making.

Meet the Educator behind The YOU Movement
Liz Farah is an educator, wellbeing leader, identity coach, podcast host and founder of The YOU Movement.
With more than fifteen years of experience across education, PDHPE, Dance and wellbeing leadership, Liz has supported young people and adults to better understand themselves and navigate the world around them.
Her work brings together practical education, emotional awareness, nervous system understanding and identity-based learning through the Y.O.U Framework™.
Motherhood, an ADHD diagnosis at 35 and her exploration of Human Design and astrology reshaped Liz’s understanding of her own mind, emotions, energy and identity. These experiences strengthened her belief that people deserve language for understanding themselves much earlier in life.
The YOU Movement grew from the meeting point between Liz’s professional experience, personal learning and commitment to helping people build self-awareness and self-trust.
“I created The YOU Movement after seeing what becomes possible when people truly understand themselves.
Nothing lights me up more than standing in a room, sitting in a circle or working one-to-one and watching someone recognise that they have more choice and agency than they realised.
I want people to leave this work with language they can use, tools that make sense in their everyday life and greater trust in their ability to decide what is right for them.
My role is not to tell people who they are. It is to help them understand themselves clearly enough to hear their own answers.
That is what makes this work so meaningful to me.”
