Coming Soon: Human Design Workshops

A new way for young people to understand who they are, beneath all the noise.

What is Human Design?

Human Design is a reflective tool that blends elements of astrology, the I Ching, the chakra system and quantum physics into a single framework, one that offers a map of how a person is uniquely wired to make decisions, engage with the world and use their energy.

It isn't a science, and it isn't a personality test. Think of it more as a mirror. Using nothing more than a date, time and place of birth, it generates a chart, often called a Bodygraph, that reflects patterns already present in how someone moves through life. For young people especially, it can offer language for things they've always sensed about themselves but never quite had words for.

We introduce Human Design at The YOU Movement the same way we introduce astrology: as a lens for self-reflection, never as a fixed label or a final word on who someone is. It's an invitation to notice, not an instruction to become.

Why now?

Young people today are growing up with more access to information about who they should be than any generation before them. Endless opinions, endless comparisons, endless advice on how to think, look, act and choose.

What they have far less of is practice sitting with who they actually are.

Most of the tools available to them are built to help them fit in, or to help them perform. Very few are built to help them understand their own individual design, their own decision-making style, their own energy, and to trust it.

This feels like an important point for education to offer something different. Not another strategy to apply from the outside, but a way to build self-trust from the inside out. Human Design gives young people a starting point that is entirely their own, one that can't be scrolled past, compared to someone else's, or handed to them by an algorithm.

What students will learn

This workshop introduces four foundational pillars of Human Design, explored through discussion, reflection and each student's own chart.

Type There are five energy types in Human Design, each describing a different way of engaging with the world.

  • Manifestor: here to initiate and get things moving, often working best when they act on their own instinct and let others know what's coming.

  • Generator: here to build and sustain, with steady energy for the things that genuinely light them up.

  • Manifesting Generator: a hybrid of initiating and building, often multi-passionate, moving quickly once something feels right.

  • Projector: here to guide, see and understand others clearly, often thriving most when recognised and invited rather than pushing to prove themselves.

  • Reflector: rare and deeply attuned to their environment, often needing more time than others to feel clear on a decision.

Strategy Each type has a different strategy, a natural way of engaging with life that tends to feel more aligned and less forced. Students explore what their strategy is and what it might mean for how they approach decisions, relationships and opportunities.

Authority Authority is the inner compass each person is designed to make decisions from, whether that's emotional clarity over time, a gut instinct in the moment, or something else entirely. Rather than being taught to look outward for the "right" answer, students are introduced to their own internal decision-making process.

Centres The Bodygraph is made up of nine centres, each either defined or open. Defined centres tend to reflect consistent, reliable traits. Open centres are where a person tends to absorb and amplify the energy of others, which can be a gift for empathy and understanding, but can also mean picking up beliefs, pressure or emotions that were never truly their own. Students learn to recognise the difference between what's theirs and what they've been carrying on someone else's behalf.

What they'll walk away with

By the end of the workshop, students will have:

  • A basic understanding of their own Type, Strategy and Authority

  • A felt sense of how they're individually designed to make decisions and use their energy

  • A new lens for building self-trust, alongside the practical, evidence-based tools already taught through YOU Lab

  • Language to describe parts of themselves they may have always sensed but never quite named

  • A deeper layer of self-awareness to support their identity, confidence and self-leadership

What you'll need

To generate an individual chart, each student will need their exact birth date, birth time and birth location. Birth time matters here, even an hour's difference can shift the details of a chart, so we recommend checking a birth certificate ahead of time where possible.

We'll share full details on how to prepare this closer to the workshop date.

Why be one of the first

This work sits ahead of where most schools are currently looking. While the language of self-awareness is starting to show up in wellbeing programs, very few offer students a tool built around their own individual design. We're opening a small number of pilot spots for schools who want to be part of shaping what this looks like from the beginning, rather than adopting it once it's already established elsewhere.

Interested in bringing this to your school?

This workshop series is currently in development, with a small number of pilot sessions opening later this year. If you'd like to be one of the first schools to bring it in, register your interest below and we'll be in touch as dates are confirmed.
